The North Korean authorities have confirmed blowing up a joint liaison office used for talks between North and South Koreas, TASS reported referring to the statement.
According to the Korean Central News Agency, these measures were taken after a group of defectors used balloons to send anti-North Korean leaflets north of the DMZ.
Pyongyang has earlier criticized Seoul for sending leaflets and promised to take retaliatory measures up to sending troops to areas adjacent to the demilitarized zone.
