Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez said he and his wife have tested positive for COVID-19, TASS reported.
During his speech on national TV, Hernandez noted he would continue to work remotely and with the help of employees.
According to him, he is feeling better now.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, nearly 8 million people have tested positive for COVID-19, while the death toll has reached over 430 thousand.
Honduras has recorded the first case on March 11. Now the total number of cases there has exceeded 10 thousand, with the death toll of 300.
