YEREVAN. – The processes taking place in Armenia in recent days reveal quite painful and dangerous realities. Independent MP Arman Babajanyan stated this at Thursday’s session of the National Assembly.

He noted that such a phenomenon is most often found on foreign, and first of all, Russian TV channels which are rebroadcast in Armenia. "Our opposition MPs, political scientists, and analysts who have a specific political orientation, tarnish the Armenian statehood. It all fits into the simplest, cheapest, and most anti-state logic.

This scheme is clear: First, they run to the country's ambassador, who is funding them [(i.e., the Russian ambassador, who received two opposition Prosperous Armenia Party MPs Wednesday)], and the ambassador is given a complaint against Armenia, after which they are shown on Russian broadcast, flooding it with dirty statements made against their country. This is an impermissible working style which deserves condemnation," Babajanyan said.

According to the MP, all these figures have preferred foreign aid, thus showing that they have no place in Armenia.

To note, Arman Babajanyan is the co-author of a bill which is aimed against the broadcasting of Russian TV channels in Armenia.
