Deputies can’t challenge the constitutional amendments in the Constitutional Court one at a time. This is what deputy of the Bright Armenia faction of the National Assembly Taron Simonyan said during a press conference in parliament today.

Simonyan also noted that the amendments to the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly have stripped President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian fof his powers.

According to the deputy, besides the President’s powers, the Constitution has also been breached because the draft constitutional amendments needed to be sent to the Constitutional Court during discussions on the amendments in the first and second readings.
