After the change of the composition of the Constitutional Court, the question will be raised as to what is next and what is on the table now in Armenia, and the Armenian authorities will start creating a new set of problems. Russian analyst Sergey Markedonov said this during a videoconference Thursday.

He noted that the Armenian authorities say that the judiciary of the country has been formed by the previous forces, is politicized, and hinders reforms. "An attempt is being made to make all branches of power more or less homogeneous.

If it’s about governability, the ruling force has its reasons. So far, the revolutionary logic has prevailed. [But] when the rotation of the composition of the Constitutional Court is over, the fight against the inheritance of the past—conventionally speaking—will end, also given that the second and third presidents are restricted in connection with criminal cases," Markedonov added.
