YEREVAN. – U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Marie Yovanovitch attended the opening ceremony of Microsoft Innovation center in Armenia’s capital, Yerevan.
The center will be operating at the State Engineering University of Armenia. Armenian Economy Minister Tigran Davtyan, Education and Science Minister Armen Ashotyan, representatives of Microsoft and Dell were present at the ceremony as well, Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reports.
During the briefing Marie Yovanovitch said that progress and high level of employment have been registered in Armenia’s IT sector due to efforts of the Armenian Government and U.S.
“I am not leaving yet and we continue our work,” she added.
Marie L. Yovanovitch will complete her 3-year mission as U.S. Ambassador this June and will return to Washington to take up the post of Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Northern and Central Europe.
