Russian Deputy Defense Minister Colonel-General Alexander Fomin categorically rejected any connection between military training activities and aggravation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, MK reported.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry's press service, information on the goals of the surprise check of troops announced on June 17 was sent to foreign partners through military-diplomatic channels.

Also on Monday, a briefing will be organized for military attaches of foreign states to tell in more detail about the progress of the surprise check of troops.
