YEREVAN. Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Special Envoy of Iranian President Mohammadreza Rauf Sheibani met with Armenian second President Robert Kocharyan on May 13, Zhamanak newspaper reports citing its sources.

“It is assumed the officials discussed Armenia’s domestic political situation,” the daily reads.

As reported earlier, Robert Kocharyan met with Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on January 21, 2010. During the meeting, Ahmadinejad said that the two countries should actively be involved in regional processes, as they have the potential to establish stability and peace in the region.
