YEREVAN. – Applicants and students who were not admitted to Armenia’s universities gathered again Monday in front of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports to continue their protest.
To note, these applicants who were not admitted to universities and their parents are protesting, complaining about the results of the university entrance exams and the new approach of the education department. Accordingly, numerous applicants with lower scores were accepted to universities, whereas many applicants with higher scores were not accepted, as the applicants’ selected profession was underscored this year, and therefore priority was given to those who selected a given profession as their first choice, rather than to those with high scores in any subject.
