YEREVAN. - Garegin Ghukasyan, 29, the nephew of a deputy police officer, is under two months’ arrest for running over a teenage girl, informs photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Garegin Ghukasyan ran into a schoolgirl Nelly Minasyan, 16, on May 7, and ran away leaving her on the street. The girl died on May 12 at “Armenia” medical center.

Police arrested Ghukasyan on the same day.

Ghukasyan is the nephew of Yeghvard police department deputy officer Tigran Petrosyan. Garegin Ghukasyan was not sober when running over the girl.
