Israeli President Reuven Rivlin has invited Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Mohammad bin Zeid to visit Jerusalem after Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have signed an agreement on restoring relations, RBC reported.
“I congratulate the President of the United States (Donald Trump), Prime Minister of Israel (Benjamin Netanyahu) and Crown Prince (Abu Dhabi) Sheikh Mohammed bin Zeid on this impressive achievement, and invite the Crown Prince to visit Jerusalem,” Rivlin wrote on Twitter.
He also described the agreement between Israel and the UAE as an important historic milestone that will lead to greater confidence and peace in the region.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan issued a joint statement in which they expressed their commitment to restoring relations between Israel and the UAE.
