Prime Minister of Lithuania Saulius Skvernelis today met with presidential candidate of Belarus Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, Delfi reports.
Defli’s information was confirmed by spokesperson of the country’s Prime Minister Tomas Berzinskas.
Berzinskas told Delfie that Tikhanovskaya had addressed the National Public Health Center and presented the negative result of her test for COVID-19, and this is why she had been permitted to leave her place of quarantine. This information was confirmed by the maintenance department of the Center before the meeting.
The Prime Minister informed about his meeting on Facebook and added that he and Tikhanovskaya had discussed all that she had experienced in Belarus, including the trials and tribulations she underwent during the election campaign and her and her family’s safety. The Prime Minister said Lithuania has always supported the Belarusian people’s aspiration for freedom and democracy, sees the awakening of the people and supports the latter.
