Army commander, Captain Hovsep Kirakosyan, who died while fighting against the adversary during the four-day war that took place on the Karabakh-Azerbaijan border, would have turned 32 today.
In 2016, Hovsep, who was a resident of Apaga village of Armavir Province of Armenia, was living in Artsakh with his wife and two children.
The family and fellow villagers today visited the cross-stone dedicated to the hero’s memory, and the local schoolchildren held an event dedicated to the memory of Hovsep Kirakosyan.
Hovsep Kirakosyan had been serving in the army since 2006. After graduating from school, he studied at Vazgen Sargsyan Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia and then went to Martakert to serve in the army.
