The Latvian cabinet of ministers has decided to set restrictions on entry into Latvia for 30 Belarusian officials who are responsible for electoral fraud during the recent presidential elections, Latvia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Edgar Rinkevics told reporters, RIA Novosti reports.

According to the foreign minister, the sanctions will mainly be targeted against the staff of President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko, as well as officials of the Central Electoral Commission, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the country’s State Security Committee.

On Thursday, Rinkevics and his Estonian counterpart will announce the list of persons to be sanctioned.
