EREVAN. – In the first half of the year, key indicators in the high-tech industry of Armenia forecast significant growth by the year-end results. Hakob Arshakyan, the Minister of High Technological Industry of Armenia, stated about this Wednesday while presenting the activity report on the high-tech industry of the country.

According to him, despite the difficult economic situation in Armenia due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the indicators of the country’s high-tech sector have maintained their positive trends and dynamic growth rates. "At the same time, the Ministry [of High Technological Industry] has managed to meet the challenges that have arisen," Arshakyan added, in particular.

He noted that his ministry had received many ideas that can be useful in the fight against the spread of the coronavirus, the ministry had coordinated these ideas, and the best of which were sent to the office of the commandant of the current—coronavirus-related—state of emergency in Armenia.
