Tax privileges have been granted to 134 new high-tech companies that have been established during the past eight months of this year. Hakob Arshakyan, the Minister of High Technological Industry of Armenia, stated about this Wednesday while presenting the activity report on the high-tech industry of the country.

According to him, another 11 firms are undergoing the procedure for obtaining a license. In 2019-2020, there were a total of 364 registered high-tech companies, which have created 960 jobs.

“Based on the monitoring conducted by the Ministry of High Technological Industry, the shareholders of the newly established companies are Armenians from the US, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Iran, the UK, France, the Netherlands, Australia, Germany, Israel, Canada, Syria and Peru,” the minister informed.
