TikTok CEO Kevin Mayer has stepped down, the Financial Times reported.
Mayer will be temporarily replaced by the general manager of the company Vanessa Pappas.
The new personnel changes in the company became known from the TikTok letter to its employees, Reuters reported.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump signed executive orders on combating the TikTok threat and on Combating the WeChat threat, in which he set aside 45 days for the termination in US jurisdiction of any transactions with the company that owns the ByteDance app and transactions related to this mobile app from China. The US administration has accused TikTok of being able to transfer data from Americans to the Chinese authorities, the owners of the app deny this.
