Average wages in both the private and public sectors have increased, which is a phenomenon of the current economic crisis, Tigran Jrbashyan, Director of Ameria Group of Companies, told Friday's briefing.

According to him, another interesting phenomenon is the growth of electricity consumption by 3.4%.

Along with this, the consumer price index for the reporting period amounted to 1.1%, Jarbashyan noted, considering this also a phenomenon, taking into account the current economic realities.

Another feature of the current situation is that the decline in imports has reduced the level of economic recession.

"Imports decreased mainly due to changes in the structure of demand. However, these indicators should not be considered so unambiguously, since there was a boom in car imports in 2019, especially in the fourth quarter," Jrbashyan said.
