Israel hopes to hold a ceremony to sign an agreement to normalize relations with the United Arab Emirates in Washington by mid-September, Reuters reported referring to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The date of this event could be decided by senior advisers to Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump during a trip to Abu Dhabi on Monday for talks, Israel's Regional Cooperation Minister Ofir Akunis said.
Trump's senior adviser Jared Kushner and other US officials are due to arrive in Israel for their upcoming trip to the UAE.
The Israeli government hopes that the signing ceremony will take place before the Jewish New Year - Rosh Hashanah, which is celebrated on September 18.
