YEREVAN. - Bomb alert at Armenian Zvartnots international airport was false. Search operations carried out by police officers, experts with trained dogs, and sappers revealed no trace of bomb, photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan informed Armenian news-NEWS.am.

Zvartnots airport spokesperson Gevorg Abrahamyan informed Armenian news-NEWS.am that the airport procedures have returned to usual schedules. 

The police traced the telephone number from which a man has made the false alert.

Earlier that today at 3:42 a.m. police received an anonymous phone call saying there is a bomb at Yerevan’s Zvartnots international airport. Everybody was evacuated from the building and had to wait outside for 2 hours. Several flights have been cancelled.
