Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) President Arayik Haroutyunyan on Tuesday issued a congratulatory message on the occasion of Knowledge Day.

"This year it is special also in that the school bell will ring again in schools that have been left idle for a long time [due to the COVID-19 pandemic].

Over the past few months, we have had the opportunity to become convinced that live interaction is so important to the education and upbringing of generations.

Also due to that, a bold decision was made to resume the teaching process in schools and universities.

The academic year is marked also by another important achievement. We are bringing to fruition the main provision of making higher education free of charge—a pre-election program put forward by the political bloc I lead.

The cornerstone of a developing Artsakh is tomorrow's competitive and knowledge-based generation, which is on the way to formation today—at school and university,” the message reads, in particular.
