YEREVAN. – Hraparak daily of Armenia writes: Today is the 29th anniversary of Artsakh's [(Nagorno-Karabakh)] independence; in this connection, unlike previous years, no big events will be held.

No festivities have been organized this year due to the [COVID-19] pandemic. Perhaps there will be light ceremonial events, but a large-number delegation from Armenia left for Artsakh yesterday, headed by NA [National Assembly] president Ararat Mirzoyan, whereas [PM] Nikol Pashinyan had left [for Artsakh] earlier.

It is noteworthy that there was no invitation to the opposition forces [of Armenia]. BAP [parliamentary opposition Bright Armenia Party] leader Edmon Marukyan informed about this in response to our inquiry. Previously, invitations were sent to the [NA] factions, and the latter were sending the MPs included in the [NA] Artsakh-Armenia interparliamentary group on a business trip to Artsakh; the leader of the group is the NA president.

By the way, the 100th day of Artsakh President Arayik Haroutyunyan's tenure also concludes today. In this regard, he will give a press conference at 15:00, and in the evening, according to our information, a party is planned.
