President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic and Prime Minister of unrecognized Kosovo Avdullah Hoti, through the mediation of US President Donald Trump, signed an agreement on normalization of economic relations in the Oval Office of the White House, as reported First Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivitsa Dacic, according to TASS.

Deputy Press Secretary of the White House Judd Deere tweeted the following: “President Donald Trump has announced that Serbia and Kosovo have agreed to economic normalization. Another historic agreement reached by this President to make the world a more peaceful, prosperous place.”

One of the points of the agreement is that the Gazivode hydro power station must pass under the control of Belgrade. Another point implies the joining of Pristina to the ‘mini Schengen’ zone. The document also includes a memorandum for a one-year term, according to which Kosovo will become a member of international organizations.

According to the existing data, the document implies investments worth $13,000,000,000 for the implementation of the joint projects of Belgrade and Pristina, including infrastructure projects.

Serbia doesn’t recognize Kosovo’s independence, meaning each side has signed a separate agreement with US President Donald Trump.
