American rapper Kanye West has spent almost $ 5.9 million in August on his US presidential campaign, NBC reported.
Almost all of this amount was spent from the musician's personal funds.
Altogether, the billionaire has invested $ 6.76 million in his campaign, according to West's new fundraising report from the Federal Election Commission. He received another $ 3,850 from 8 additional donations.
Most of West's campaign funding went to three consulting firms: Millennial Strategies, Fortified Consulting, and Atlas Strategy Group.
West's campaigner is run by Republican specialist Gregg Keller, who manages Atlas Strategy.
West has currently submitted applications for registration as a US presidential candidate in more than 10 states: Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Utah, Tennessee, Kentucky, Minnesota, Louisiana, and Vermont.
