The Iranian MFA spokesman ruled out the possibility of talks with the US after the Russian Foreign Minister expressed his readiness to help Tehran and Washington negotiate, Tasnim reported.

Speaking at a briefing, Iranian MFA spokeswoman Saeed Khatibzadeh noted that Iran has no doubts about the intentions of our friends in Russia, but the intentions of the United States are questionable.

According to him, the course of their policy towards the US has not changed.

In a recent speech at Moscow State Institute of International Relations, Russian FM Sergei Lavrov said that Moscow is ready to negotiate with both sides to pave the way for direct talks between Iran and the US, but only if both sides are interested.
