China’s International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition, which was scheduled to take place in November, has been canceled amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Reuters reported, citing organizers of the air show.
The next exhibition will take place in 2022.
The expo has consistently attracted major manufacturers in the aviation industry such as Airbus, Boeing, Commercial Aircraft Corp of China.
The exhibition traditionally hosted air shows with military fighters and drones.
This major event was canceled due to concerns about arriving foreigners that could bring the COVID-19 into the country, as well as the severe flight restrictions caused by the pandemic.
