YEREVAN. – The Armenian National Congress (ANC), main opposition movement, refrains from commenting on President Sargsyan’s appeal to the parliament with a proposal to declare an amnesty.

“We are following the process attentively and will respond when there is enough information about amnesty’s meaning,” Arman Musinyan, spokesperson for ANC, told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Earlier on Friday Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan appealed to the National Assembly with a proposal to declare an amnesty.  

The Armenian National Congress is an oppositional union founded in 2008 leaded by first president of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan. Oppositional union comprises 17 political parties.
