For months, several thousand citizens of the Republic of Armenia living and working in the Russian Federation are, in fact, unable to enter the Russian Federation and join their families and relatives, finding themselves in a desperate situation. Mikayel Melkumyan, a member of the opposition Prosperous Armenia faction in the National Assembly of Armenia, wrote about this on his Facebook page on Friday.
"The state should not be indifferent and ignore the urgent solution of this problem.
This morning I sent a letter to my colleague at the State Duma of the Russian Federation—chairman of the Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration, and Relations with Compatriots, L. I. Kalashnikov—asking for assistance in resolving this issue by urgently appealing to the Government of the Russian Federation.
I hope there will be appropriate solutions in the near future, and our compatriots will leave for the Russian Federation.
I present the text of the letter sent by me addressed to L. I. Kalashnikov," Melkumyan added, in particular.
