A leading Brazilian expert on Amazon tribes was killed by an arrow during an expedition, the BBC reported.
Rieli Franciscato, 56, died Wednesday near the Rondonia state in northwestern Brazil.
He monitored one of the tribes as part of his work for the local tribal government agency.
Witnesses say that Franciscato and his team were attacked as soon as they approached representatives of the tribe.
