President Donald Trump said Bahrain has agreed to normalize relations with Israel.

"Another HISTORIC breakthrough today! Our two GREAT friends Israel and the Kingdom of Bahrain agree to a Peace Deal – the second Arab country to make peace with Israel in 30 days!" Trump tweeted.

Trump wrote about it after speaking on the phone with the King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the White House said.

In a joint statement, the three leaders said they agreed to establish full diplomatic relations between Israel and the Kingdom of Bahrain.

This is a historic breakthrough towards further peace in the Middle East. Opening up direct dialogue and links between these two dynamic and advanced economies will continue to transform the Middle East and enhance stability, security, and prosperity in the region.

The agreement between Israel and the UAE, announced on August 13, is due to be signed at the White House on September 15.

The statement said Bahrain accepted Trump's invitation to join Israel and the UAE for the signing ceremony.
