Former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is committing at least $ 100 million to help Joe Biden's presidential campaign in Florida, AP reported.

Bloomberg's infusion of cash late in the campaign reflects Democrats' concerns about a tough race in the state, which is a priority for president Donald Trump.

Biden's victory in Florida would make it much harder for Trump to win the 270 electoral votes needed to secure a second term.

At the end of last year, billionaire Bloomberg participated in the Democratic presidential courier amid fears over Biden's strengths. Although Bloomberg spent $ 1 billion on his campaign, he scrapped it in March, backing Biden.

Bloomberg's adviser said most of the money will go to television and digital advertising.
