Israel is introducing a new general quarantine in three stages, Channel 9 reported.
According to the plan approved by the minister for the fight against coronavirus, starting from Wednesday, September 16, educational institutions - except for special schools for children with special needs - will stop working.
A general quarantine will be introduced from six o'clock next Friday morning. It restricts movement for the entire population over 500 meters from home and bans all commercial and other establishments that the public visits. This includes everything related to culture, leisure and entertainment, as well as tourist sites. Catering outlets will be allowed to trade only to take out and deliver orders to your home.
It will be possible to visit only places selling necessary goods - grocery stores, pharmacies, perfumery and hygiene stores and those that sell necessary household goods. Points for the sale of phones and accessories, establishments providing communication services, and stores selling medical equipment will also operate.
In government agencies, the presence at the workplace will be reduced to 30% of the size of the workforce, except all the same necessary services.
In private enterprises, the presence of 30% of the usual number of employees is also allowed, and if the result is less than 10 people, then their number can be increased to ten.
Public transport will also be cut in line with the constraints of the current phase.
The first stage - to which all of the above measures apply - will last at least two weeks.
