Nearly 250 demonstrators have been detained in Minsk during the protests, BelTA reported.

Seventeen protest points were recorded in the country. According to the ministry of internal affairs, the total number of participants does not exceed 3 thousand people.

The situation against the background of Sunday unauthorized events is controlled, the department noted.

Nearly 250 people were detained in various districts of Minsk. The interior ministry said they used flags and other symbols that were not registered in the prescribed manner, as well as posters, including offensive content.

Taking into account the fact that the protesters have blocked the roadway at various parts in Minsk, the traffic police are organizing detours and restricting traffic. Police officers are focused on maintaining public order, suppression of offenses, and other active actions on the part of protesters, the ministry reported.
