What is happening in Belarus should be discussed within the Eurasian Union, the CSTO, and the CIS, said Belarus' president Aleksandr Lukashenko at a meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Sochi.

"This is a lesson for us, not only for Belarus and Russia but also for our post-Soviet republics. We will talk about this at the meeting of the Eurasian Union, first of all, the CSTO, and within the CIS there is something to talk about," he said.

According to him, recent events have shown that Belarus needs to stay closer with its older brother and cooperate on all issues, RIA Novosti reported.
