The parliamentary inquiry committee has been set up to study the effectiveness of measures taken by Armenia to prevent the spread of the coronavirus and to mitigate or eliminate the effects of the outbreak, but its composition has not been determined yet. Edmon Marukyan, chairman of the opposition Bright Armenia Party and head of its parliamentary faction, on Tuesday stated about this at the session of the National Assembly.

According to him, the committee will consist of 12 members, and all parliamentary factions shall be represented in it. Most of the committee seats (7 out of 12) will be allocated to the representatives of the majority My Step faction. The opposition Prosperous Armenia faction will be represented in the committee with three MPs, and the Bright Armenia faction—with two.
