Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that Russia hopes for an end to the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) in the near future.
"People are dying, there are great losses on both sides, and we hope that this conflict will end in the near future. But if it is not resolved once and for all, it seems that it is still a long way off," Putin said on the air of Russia 24 television.
