The Georgian Revenue Service has officially denied the disinformation spread by the Azerbaijani media that, allegedly, a transfer of military cargo to Armenia was prevented at the Kazbegi customs checkpoint. Armenia’s Embassy in Georgia issued a statement about this. Saturday’s statement of the Georgian Revenue Service, in particular, reads:

′′No military cargo was detected during customs control of a truck traveling to Armenia.

Today one of the media spread misinformation as if the transfer of military cargo towards Armenia was prevented at Kazbegi customs crossing.

The Finance Ministry's Revenue Service informs that a truck—driven by a citizen of another country—carrying out international cargo entered the Kazbegi customs checkpoint from the Russian Federation.

Based on risk assessment and analysis by customs officials, due to certain standards, the given transit cargo has been subjected to appropriate customs control procedures. Meanwhile, no military burden has been found as a result of further customs control, product documents, camera inspection and visual inspection of the goods, and accordingly, no violations occurred.
