YEREVAN. - The cases when no foreign currency transactions were made on NASDAQ OMX Armenia increased in May. This Wednesday was the fifth case registered in May and the second over the week with no foreign currency transactions on the stock exchange.
This suggests that the market is uncertain about exchange rate. Bank executives acknowledge that even some of their forecasts for a week are incorrect.
The cash currency market is more stable but is affected by fluctuations in the stock exchange.
In total, AMD tends to devaluation. Banks have increased the exchange rate of US dollar on Wednesday. Some banks purchased dollar at the exchange rate of AMD 376/$1, while Prometey Bank proposed AMD 376.5/$1 for purchase and the exchange rate of AMD 378/$1 for sales.
