Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania Bogdan Aurescu has expressed concern over the escalation of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and emphasized that the sides must fully observe the recent ceasefire agreement.

Aurescu stated that Romania is constantly calling on the sides to show political will and restart substantive negotiations, in accordance with international law and through the mediation of the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group. He emphasized the resumption of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is helping call attention to the fact that there is a real disaster for instability in the Black Sea region.
