YEREVAN. – Russia plays a constructive role in this process. I positively assess their involvement; in any case, they do what rests on them. Arman Yeghoyan, chairman of the National Assembly Standing Committee on European Integration and an MP of the majority My Step faction, stated this Tuesday in a talk with reporters in the parliament of Armenia.

When asked what the Armenian side was doing on the diplomatic front to prevent the acquisition of new weapons by Azerbaijan, Yeghoyan responded: "As you know, Georgia has banned the flight of military planes over its airspace. But we all know that if such weapons are transported, they are not transported by military but by civilian cargo planes; and here our Georgian colleagues say that they cannot check in the air what is in it. They cannot check by civilian; they can via land. (…). This is the situation; yes, it is a very big problem, and these days we must work in that direction to stop it because Azerbaijan, taking into account its losses, cannot continue this war on its own."

As per Yeghoyan, this war is a challenge made to Armenia, and according to him, the international community realizes this.

But the Armenian MP warned that if this war continues, it will not be limited to this region alone, and it will spread throughout Europe. "This matter is important for the European continent. Nobody knows what the [terrorist] groups will do there tomorrow, and they [Europeans] should realize this very well," Arman Yeghoyan added.
