Armenians of the Diaspora, including Armenians from Russia, the US, Georgia and Europe have sent 700 tons of humanitarian aid to Armenia since the start of the war unleashed by Azerbaijan. This is what High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of Armenia Zareh Sinanyan told reporters today.

“Another 100 tons of humanitarian aid is expected to be sent from the US. Turkey is currently prohibiting the flight of an airplane carrying the humanitarian aid to Armenia through its airspace,” he said, adding that Hayastan All-Armenian Fund has received financial assistance worth #$120,000.

“I call on Armenians living abroad and wishing to help to coordinate their efforts with the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs in Armenia. Besides material assistance, it is also very important to work in the information field, including in the Diaspora in order to counter the misinformation of Turkey and Azerbaijan. Works are in progress, and they need to continue through lobbying organizations,” he concluded.
