YEREVAN. - The average AMD/USD exchange rate made AMD 377 / $1 on NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange, Thursday.

All 43 deals amounting to $6.15 million were mainly made at the rate of AMD 377/$1 although demand for US dollar grew rapidly shortly before the stock exchange closed. Closing rate made AMD 378/ $1. Thus, US dollar rate did not go up due to close of stock.

Meanwhile, in the cash currency market US dollar was purchased at an exchange rate of AMD 377/$1 and sold at AMD 379/$1.

Earlier, on Wednesday, no foreign currency transactions were made on stock exchange.
