The UN Support Mission in Libya announced on Saturday evening that a meeting of the joint military commission with representatives of the two conflicting sides of Libya will take place next week, the Daily Sabah reported.

According to the report, the talks, which will take place on November 2-4, will be the first meeting of the opponents in the homeland.

The participants will hold discussions on the implementation of the ceasefire agreement, the UN notes, referring to the agreement signed in Geneva on October 23.

The talks will take place in the Ghadames oasis, located 465 km south-west of Tripoli, on the borders with Algeria and Tunisia.

The current envoy of the UN support mission in Libya Stephanie Williams will also take part in the talks.
