The situation in the military zone is under control. The movement and redistributions of the adversary are spotted on time and are mainly repressed through artillery fire. This is what representative of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia Artsrun Hovhannisyan said during today’s briefing.

He stated that Azerbaijan has tried to move forward in several directions (northern, central, southern) several times since last night and that companies and battalions have made attempts that have been repressed.

Since early morning, more attempts of attack have been made in the direction of Martakert, Marutni and several southern directions, and all attempts have been suspended, except for the attempt in the direction of Martuni. In the direction of Martuni, the adversary succeeded in seizing two positions, including in the directions of Sheher and Tchartar. The battles continue, the enemy is actively using artillery and planes.

At around 6 p.m. the adversary opened fire at positions and Davit Bek village, and there is a victim.

In response to a question about the response that the defense minister had promised to give in case of the first bombardment of Davit Bek village, Hovhannisyan stated that adequate responses are given every day. “The war continues. The enemy is constantly trying to move forward and using its full potential. The Armenian army is acting literately and causing tremendous damage to the enemy. I am certain that our army clearly has control of the situation and is becoming more and more experienced by the day,” Hovhannisyan concluded.
