Due to the coronavirus pandemic and martial law, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Armenia has reviewed its expenditures and geared its funds towards the country’s state budget. This is what Secretary General of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Armenia Hamayak Navasardyan said during today’s discussion on the draft of the 2021 State Budget held as part of the joint session of the Standing Committees on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs and on State and Legal Affairs of the National Assembly.

According to him, the nearly AMD 17,600,000 envisaged for professional training has been saved.

“Due to martial law and the pandemic, the Prosecutor General’s Office decided to not make the expenses for professional training. The Prosecutor General’s Office had planned to organize professional training for nearly 360 employees, but only 30 employees participated in the courses. Expenditures also weren’t made for the renovation of buildings and constructions,” Navasardyan said.
