The right of 33,000 children of Artsakh to education has been violated as a result of hostilities. This is what Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Armenia Zhanna Andreasyan told reporters today.

According to her, the right of 10,000 children of Armenia’s borderline settlements to education has been restricted since the children are compelled to learn through remote learning, including after the break in the fall (after November 13).

“Since the war began, 61 schools and 10 kindergartens have been damaged in Artsakh. Children of Artsakh who are temporarily in Armenia have the opportunity to attend the schools that are the closest to them, without showing any document. Parents can contact any state or community body for information. At the same time, it is planned to engage teachers from Artsakh in the learning process,” Andreasyan noted.

The deputy minister added that, taking into consideration the modernity of the issue, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport is considering the introduction of the subject “Initial Military Training”, as well as the need for practical training in the civil defense sector.
