During the war, we Armenians only need to focus on one thing, and that is victory. This is what Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan told reporters during today’s briefing in parliament, touching upon the question about how likely are sanctions against Turkey and whether the international responses to the military aggression in Artsakh are sufficient.

“Of course, it is necessary to work. Work is being done and will be done after victory because several crimes, including war crimes have been committed. However, today the priority objective is to achieve victory through combined efforts,” he said.

When told that on October 21 Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had declared that there is no diplomatic solution to the Artsakh issue in this stage, Kocharyan said the following: “When has there been a diplomatic solution to any issue during a war? It is clear that our objective is on the battlefield so long as there are hostilities.”
