YEREVAN. – In 2021, 6 billion 776 million drams will be allocated from the state budget of Armenia for the needs of the Ministry of Environment. Deputy Minister of Environment Irina Ghaplanyan said this during the debates on the 2021 draft budget at Friday’s joint meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committees on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs and on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment.

These funds are planned to be used for the implementation of 25 projects.

According to the deputy minister, however, the aforementioned amount does not include the funds that will be provided by international donors within the framework of grant programs. "The [KfW] German development bank will provide 2 billion drams to the [environment] ministry within the framework of a grant program," she added.
