Some of the funds donated to Hayastan All-Armenian Fund haven’t been spent yet, and some funds have been donated to the Armenian government. This is what Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan said during a question-and-answer session with government officials in parliament today, responding to the question whether the funds of Hayastan All-Armenian Fund served their goal and if the remaining funds are being geared towards elimination of the consequences of the war.
“In this situation, particularly in the initial period, we considered it right to consolidate our efforts and determine the preferences in one center so that the expenditures will be effective. The Fund will present the areas for expenditures in detail soon,” he said.
Earlier, Yerevan.Today had provided news that the fate of the millions of dollars donated to Hayastan All-Armenian Fund during the war remains unknown. Director of the Fund Haykak Arshamyan has decided to not make the information about money transfers public, and there is still no official information about the final entries and exits on the website of the Fund.
“Based on the data transferred to Yerevan.Today, most of the donations were transferred to the State Budget of Armenia through a secret agreement during the heated days of the war and were turned into budgetary expenses. What is ridiculous is that the Ministry of Finance confirmed this sensational news during a conversation with Yerevan.Today two weeks ago,” Yerevan.Today reports.
