The spokesperson for the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) of Iran said satellite-controlled electronic devices were used in the recent assassination of eminent Iranian scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, Tasnim reported.

In remarks at a ceremony held in commemoration of the late Iranian scientist on Sunday, General Ramezan Sharif said advanced satellite-controlled electronic instruments were employed in the November 27 assassination of Fakhrizadeh.

The general also blamed Israel for the assassination and warned that its actions will not remain unanswered. “The occupying Zionists and their fake regime have assassinated 2,700 elites of regional Islamic nations over the past 70 years,” he stated.

Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, a senior nuclear and defense scientist, was assassinated in a small city east of the capital Tehran on November 27.
